Hi Flite

The most recent previous owner gave her her current name.

George was a pilot.  When he registered his new boat he was inspired by the poem "High Flight".  He altered the spelling and renamed her Hi Flite.  He also carried the aviation theme with her home port which is listed as Kitty Hawk NC, home of the Wright Brothers first flight.

As the new owners it was our option to rename, however, we decided that since during the buying process we got to know her as Hi Flite we would keep the name.  Since we live in North Carolina it was also decided that we would keep the home port listed as Kitty Hawk NC.  The reality is that except at an extremely high tide there is no way she could get into Kitty Hawk Bay.
